Come Join Nancy Swiezy at The Palace... Hotel For A Royal Sunrise Breakfast!
Friday, April 29, 2011 Say “I Do” to the Royal Wedding Sunrise Breakfast with me and The Queen (In Flowers)
Watch the Wedding Ceremony of Prince William and Kate Middleton While Enjoying a Traditional English Breakfast in the Palatial Surroundings of the Historic Villard Mansion
New York, New York –– If you can’t make it to London for the “big day,” the next place to watch the most talked about wedding celebration of the year is in The Drawing Room at The New York Palace. Guests will view the ceremony on flatscreen TVs while enjoying traditional English morning meal favorites, including scones with marmalade, scrambled eggs with Devonshire cream, and breakfast bangers.
The event, priced at $150 per person inclusive, will commence at 5:30 am with coffee and tea service. At 6 am, breakfast service will begin to correspond with the 11 am wedding start time in London, and will conclude at 8 am with a champagne toast.
Guests will enjoy an experience that is reflective of a wedding event with traditional celebratory elements and offerings. These include personalized place cards, elegant floral arrangements, “In Honour Of” printed menus, and commemorative wedding “favors” (scented glass candles with an embossed crown logo). To best ensure that early risers are well taken care of it, all attendees will receive keepsake Palace slippers, and pillows and blankets will be available throughout the breakfast to ensure the “coziest” of dining experiences.
The Drawing Room is housed in the renowned Villard Mansion at The New York Palace. With its motifs from 15th-century Italian cathedrals that reflects Gilded Age grandeur, The Drawing Room features exquisite carved wood paneling and twin fireplaces.
For additional information about the Royal Wedding Sunrise Breakfast and to make reservations for the event, please call 212-303-7785. Guests who wish reserve a Superior guestroom starting at $429 the night before the breakfast may do so by contacting the reservations department at reservations@nypalace.com, calling (800) 804-7035 or visiting

The Strathmore Rose Tiara Is The Front Runner For Kate!
The Strathmore Rose Tiara was a wedding gift to the Queen Mum from her father, the Earl of Strathmore. It’s a delicate tiara, worn by the Queen Mum as a bandeau low across her forehead (a stylish way to wear a tiara in the ‘20s and ‘30s); it can also be worn in a more traditional way on the top of the head. If Kate were to wear a piece from the Queen Mother’s collection, especially one like the Strathmore that hasn’t been trotted out in ages, it might suggest that she and William want to mimic the reign of George VI and Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon – a united, nuclear family that acts as a model of family values for the nation. Less glam, yes, but also less drama in the wake of the tabloid wars of the previous generation.
Its young and fresh look for a Thoroughly Modern Millie.. I mean Kiss Me Kate!

The Wedding Cake Candle Collection
Founder Jessica Lauber was born and raised in New York City and educated at the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology. Her richly creative career has included fashion merchandising, publishing, and interior design.
“I found it literally impossible to find candles of exceptional quality and unique beauty...that were affordable. It seemed impossible in New York City where everything and anything is available. It was natural for me to call on the resources available in my city to draw from the arts and culture that inspire me.”
These candles are labors of love, candles inspired by the extraordinary city she loves and the parents who made her appreciate all things of beauty — she thanks both in a name — jacks & pearls, NYC

Off To See Bill Cunningham
Our Boy Bill…
What can be said about this New York Treasure!
His Integrity of his craft, the joy of an honest days work, God and Country (mostly NYC).
A True New York Icon.
I have had the opportunity to speak with him at the Met Costume Ball and by my house in Newport In front of the Breakers stables, waiting for the carriages to arrive from the Elms. And yes... I was on my bike too!
This is the most touching film about the most remarkable man of fashion.
One regret in life for me would be never to have been photographed by Bill.
Yes Bill.... Your on my bucket list!
See you on 57th and Fifth?
