Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

As legend goes, in the early 1900's, the Aran sweater was developed by Irish immigrants living off the coast of Boston, MA. Upon returning to the west of Ireland the knitting was refined to what we know it as today.
So too, in the late 1990's Aranware Pottery came to be, when Ann Mullan, a native of Derry City, Northern Ireland moved to Boston and set up Kara Irish Pottery.
After serving as the European marketing manager for Ireland's leading manufacturer of ceramic oven-to-tableware, Ann was determined to design and oversee the manufacturing of her own collection at the 34 year old factory.
Combining the craftsmanship found in Derry with the time-honored Aran motif, the Aranware Collection was born.
